Oregon Road trip

Tom and I took a road trip on our Harley motorcycles this summer. We went 2900 miles and loved every minute of it.
We started out at our favorite breakfast place Original House of Pancakes because we knew we were in for a long ride that day. 550 miles to be about right.
Their we stopped for gas and the fun had already begun.

We stopped at Boise Idaho to visit with Tom's sister Betty and her kids Hailey and Tyler. We had a nice visit . Betty works at the DQ there so we had some lunch and just enjoyed seeing each other again.
We were then off to Hines Oregon. We rode through some wonderful country side. Rolling green hills and all the wild life, it was great.

The next day we were off to Eugene to visit with Tom's sister Jerri.
I think my favorite part of our ride was the Willamette Forest. This is the way we took to go to Eugene. At a little tourist town called Sisters you take the road less traveled and it was amazingly beautiful and had lots of curves and twists and bends which were fun to ride motorcycles on.
There was lush green forest everywhere and then you were at a river of lava. AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!
We even got cel phone service as you can see.
We spent a day and 1/2 with Jerri and we drove around to view a beautiful waterfall and the covered bridges that they have around there. It was some interesting history and we enjoyed the time with Jerri. We had never been to her house before.

She has this beautiful 100 year old house that she is working on. It will keep her busy for a year or two.
