VALENTINES DAY

VALENTINES DAY
What a fun day it was this year. First off I made a cool quilt for Tom. It is a t-shirt quilt from many of the shirts we have purchased over the past 22 years but that's not all. In between each row I put pictures, in the corners, of the trips we were on when we bought the shirts and just some fun pictures we have taken over the years.
For some reason no matter how much I rotate this picture it wants to be upside down so it is.
We have a t-shirt square from our trip to Hawaii 10 years ago with some of our pictures around it. We have lots of pictures from our HOG Trips and dinner rides. They are always so much fun and we have a great HOG Chapter! We love the people that we ride with!

This square is for a Surprise Birthday Party for Kenny, Tom's cousin who turned 60. His sisters had so many people fly in to surprise him and we all work USC shirts because he is their #1 fan.

Thanks for 22 wonderful years TOM! Sometimes it seems like is was just yesterday when we were married but other days it seems like 22 years. No matter which way it feels it is always wonderful sharing it with you!

Sourdough Bread

My first thought was, 'Will it rise?' and it sort of did. It tastes really good but I have learned that you need to make your loaves differently then you do yeast rising bread because the sourdough doesn't rise as high. So we have small sandwich bread this week but at lease it tastes good!!

WHAT A FUN MONTH I'VE HAD!

This past month has been a busy but fun one. Here are some of the things I've done.
Finally, in the beautiful picture below, you will see what is sourdough starter.
It only takes 4 days to get this to work.
Now I will try making the bread. I'm so excited to eat bread, if it works, that has no quick rising yeast in it. Yum Yum!
Eliza had the opportunity to spend the day with Breein at her dance comp. at Thanksgiving Point. Breein looks so cute and did a great job. Her team took 1st place. GREAT JOB BREEIN!
Carolyn hadn't been feeling well so I got the opportunity to take Cierra to her Federation. This is where she plays two pieces on the piano in front of 3 judges who rate her performance, her knowledge of the pieces she has memorized and the way she conducts herself. For the 3rd year in a row she got a SUPERIOR RATING! Congratulations! After 3 years of superior ratings at the Federation she will get her trophy.

Every now and then I get the opportunity to spend some time with Kaylee. She is growing so fast. Playing hide a seek behind our couch was so exciting to her the day she came to visit. Peek A Boo Kaylee.

I had the opportunity to have Carolyns kids with me for a weekend and we went bowling. What a fun time we had!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!
