MEMORIAL DAY FUN 2009

SLIP AND SLID........................................................

HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE YOU HAD A SLIP AND SLIDE IN YOUR YARD???

FOR US IT HAS BEEN MANY MANY YEARS.

THIS YEAR WE DECIDED TO PUT ONE UP FOR THE GRANDKIDS WHEN WE ALL GOT TOGETHER FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

WHAT A BLAST.

MOST OF THE GRANDKIDS LIKED IT. IT WAS A LITTLE COOL THAT DAY BUT NOT TOO BAD.

AS YOU CAN SEE JAMES HAD FUN.....

AND MERRIC, YES MERRIC!!!! WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM FOR TRYING IT. HE DIDN'T SLIDE DOWN BUT HE RAN DOW THE SLIDE AND HAD A GREAT TIME!!!

CIERRA TRIED IT AND HAD A BLAST!!....................

BREEIN THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT.......................

BROCK WAS ANOTHER RUNNER DOWN THE SLIDE................

AND ROZZIE WOULD ONLY TEST THE WATER. SHE HAD FUN WATCHING.

Tommy needed a little encouragement and didn't exactly think it was the greatest so Carolyn thought she'd show them how it was done. GO CAROLYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

BUT WHEN THE KIDS WERE ALL PRETTY WELL DONE THEY ENJOYED WATCHING THE BIG PEOPLE TAKE THEIR TURN!!!!

Carolyn started it for the adults. She was playing with the kids and just decided to try it herself..Hyrum made a great splash...just like a fish coming out of water ( all the kids said)..

Erika gave it a whirl .....
Tom even gave it a try which led into a contest so see who could get the farthest. He didn't win..

Rodney went farther....
but with all the hair on Steve's chest and stomach he won. He went clear to the kids swing set.

Yah Steve!!!!

Brant went pretty far also but then he tried it on his knees... We women didn't travel as far. Eliza did pretty good

but Sariah tried her skill at sliding on her feet.... we can see how that went. When I went they didn't take a picture they recorded it.



All in all we had a great day.. We had manti chicken, hot dogs, salad, baked beans, rice crispy treats, chips and a veggie tray, and a cake great grandma made.....Yummmmmmmmmmm

We even got a couple of good family pictures. Here we all are.

May Harley Dinner Ride

Tom and I hosted the May Dinner Ride for our local Harley Chapter and had a great time!!!!!!!

We zipped down to the Harley shop at 5:50 p.m. thinking we would be there early, since we weren't leaving for dinner til 6:30 but to our surprise tons of people were there.

We all had a great time.

We went to the Chinese Gourmet on State and 45th South

Here we are awating the instructions for the ride we were going to take on our way to dinner.As we left the Harley shop they got a shot of our backs as we were driving out of the parking lot. I'm the one with the ponytail holder showing and Tom is on his bike right in front of me.

We went up 90th to 2000 East and took 2000 east down Vanwinkle to 7th East and then down 45th south to State. This is about 1/2 of the bikes at a stoplight.

At the dinner Tom and I did the drawings so everyone got to see who we were since we are new to the Chapter. The people are really fun and friendly. There were approximately 115 people that attended the dinner. Biggest one this year. Pretty good for first timers.

WELCOME ANNABELLE!!!

Annabelle has arrived!!!! She is beautiful just like her sister Bianca.
I got to go and spend almost a week with them in Vernal when Annabelle was just 3 days old.
I had a wonderful time.
Bianca is so good!!! She minds really well and she loves to try on shoes... she spent a lot of time trying to walk around in my shoes or her mom high heals. It was darling!!

Bianca has a couple of neighbor friends who play outside with her a lot.

She loves to stand at the front window,when she is waiting to go outside, and wave at everyone who passes by in a car or walking. She is so friendly and fun......Anna abelle is so cute!!!, and a good baby. Christa could just put her down and she would just look around and be calm and quiet. It was amazing. She is only 4 days old in these pictures. What a fun addition to our family!!

Lunch with a fireman

I spent lunch with a fireman and his brother the other day when I had Kamden and Merric over.
I get to spen most Tuesdays with them and on this day Kamden was a fireman all day long.

We had a great time. I love spending time with these two!!!

Laralyn's shower

Well it is time to update again. We have done a lot of things that I just haven't had the time to post so today I will do a few.
We had a fun baby shower for Laralyn, Rodney's wife. Eliza planned the day. We played The Price is Right, remember what you see and everyone visited with one another. It was a great time. We can't wait for her to have this sweet baby to join our family. This will be #13 grandchild for Tom and I.
