THERE HERE!!!!

Well, the wait was over and on the 30th of June Leah and the boys (as she calls them) arrived!!
Erika happened to have an OB appointment that same day so she came and stayed the night. It was fun....

The kids had no problems enjoying the back yard swings and playing with each other that evening.

They also love the pond. Rozzie was having a great time with Grandpa...
We keep a big pot of rocks (Rozzie is reaching into it) next to the pond so that the kids can throw them in. When they are all gone, I get them all back out and fill the pot again for the next time around.

After a good night sleep, all the family came over so we could attempt to get a picture of all the grandchildren together. There are 10 of them now so getting a picture is kind of ard. We did an ok job though.
The kids had been playing outside most of the morning and we told them that they had to let us take their picture before they could get lunch. Tim (on the far left) didn't like the idea at all. He was balling and Kamden (in the middle) kept looking at Bianca who was in Cierra's lap. Rozzie (on the far right) didn't like the idea either. She is a little shy at first and she wasn't sure of all those other kids she was with. But, not a bad picture, at least I don't think so anyway.

Leah kept herself and the boys quite busy while they were here. They spent some time in Roy visiting friends, they attended 3 days of the Grammer family reunion, they went to the Primary Day activity in our ward and they spent time with her sisters and thier children. The kids loved playing together. We had a nice picnic at Liberty park on the Sunday before they left and then went to Temple Square. A very nice time. But, the best time was when the boys helped Tom wash our motorcycles before our 4th of July trip. They were really excited for him to come home so they could help him that evening. They did a great job.......Thanks for the help boys!!!! Thanks for the memories Leah. It was GREAT to have you here. We enjoyed that time so much. Come again when you can. WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

WHAT A RIDE!!! continued

When we left Geln Canyon Dam we rode past Page Arazona and down a beautiful cliff side that eventually took us here, to the Navajo Bridges. there are 2 of them and they go over a green
river below. We walked out to the middle of the bridge and the river was green as far as you could see in either direction. WEIRD!!!!
We left Navajo Bridges and headed for the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.. Remember that I said it was 103 in St George that same day.... well as we got closer to the Grand Canyon area we saw these on the way ........
We stopped at the Jacobs Lake are and had lunch and met some people that were traveling from Connecticut, the same area that Tom went to high school in. In fact, Tom graduate with the man's sister. We talked to them for about 45 minutes as we had lunch and started off to the rim of the Grand Canyon...... We were within 18 miles from the rim and the rest of those clouds rolled in. We stopped and put on our rain gear and headed out again but to our surprise this storm came in hard. It dropped to 45 degrees and started hailing and raining hard!!!! It hurts as it is coming down fast and hard and you are traveling fast on a motorcycle. We went as far as we coul until our glasses steamed up and we could hardly see because of the storm and we had to turn back, yet again. Back at Jabocs Lake we got a head of the storm and started back to St. George again. WHAT A RIDE!!! It was great and BEAUTIFUL!!!! The Lord sure has made a wonderful planet for us to live on and enjoy!!
We left to come home on Monday and we took a detour through Cedar City to Cedar Breaks, another beautiful ride!!
On the way up you are going through the Dixie National Forest And then you get to Cedar Breaks it looks like a mini Bryce Canyon.....After that we went down through Panguitch to visit with our very good friends Bruce and Joleen Hatch. While we waited for Joleen to get off work Tom and Bruce had fun with the men that sat outside the store.

I never see Tom Smile quite as big or have as much fun as he does with his good friend Burce!!!!

We went to dinner at the Pines a little place not far from Bryce Canyon. It was good.. and then we were off again just enjoying the ride back.

What a great time we had. Thanks Burce and Joleen for alwas making time for us when we come through. Thanks Linda and Jim for the use of your place. It is wonderful....

WHAT A RIDE!!!

4th of July weekend , 2008, was FUN!!! We went on a ride.......... First stop, Mt Timp. Harley shop for a skull cap for me........OK, got it and we are ready to go. The weather was pretty good for the long ride. We arrived at St. George at about 8:00 p.m. and just rested and slept for the night........

The next morning we got up and needed food soooo.... off to the store we went. We were just going to get a couple of things but you know how it goes. When we went back out to the bike we wondered.... would it all fit???????

Yep, it did and we were happy to get back and eat.

On the way to Zion you go through a cute little town and there are interesting little stores and things along the way....

When we got to the front gate we discovered we were not the only people going through the park that day....
But the wait is alway worth it at this beautiful place!!!
We like the checker board area of the park. It has such an interesting look.

Believe it or not it started to rain that day so we headed back to St. George for the rest of the evening. We went to see Wall E at the movies the afternoon before so we saw Kung Fu Panda that night.

On Sunday we headed out again and what a ride!!! We first went through Zion again on our way to Kanab.... We saw beautiful spring flowers on the cactus plants along the way
When we got to Kanab we stopped to look around a bit and we met some interesting people and things...

This man rides a 3 wheeled motorcycle and takes his dog with him. His dog has goggles, hat and vest. It was really cute to see...

Tom met a bear.......

And I met the Indian Chief...After our brief stop here we headed out towards the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Keep in mind that it was 103 in St George that day.

Our next stop was at the Glen Canyon Dam at Lake Powell. What a wonderful place. I can see

Why so many people like to visit there. We met a group of about 15 bikers that were from Arkansas on their way to Canada and then down the coast. It will tak them about 2 weeks to do their ride.

I'm sure glad I am not too concerned about my hair and make up!!!!

More to come tomorrow... Goodnight!

Picnic ride

Tom and I went on a picnic with Eliza a couple of weeks ago and had a great time! We went up to Strawberry where the fish were spaning, if that is how you spell it, and enjoyed a beautiful ride. First we stopped to fill up with gas ( it costs as much to fill up our 2 bikes as it use to cost to fill up our truck). Eliza rode on the back of Tom's bike, I am still learning how to have a passanger. It is harder then it seems!!

We stopped at Strawberry for lunch and as you can see, it was really good.

After we ate, we were going to take a long ride but the rain came so we cut it short but it was fun to have a day with Eliza and let her enjoy riding the motorcycle's like we do. We Love You Eliza!

May, June, July Birthdays

We have a busy summer ahead so we celibrated May, June and July birthdays at a Park up Provo Canyon and had a great time.

It was the first nice weekend of the summer so Tom and I went up early and picked a spot and stayed there to save it for all of the family. We thought it would be busier then it was.

The fun started as everyone began to arrivee.

We had a head stand contest and then a hand stand contest. Some of us are better at this then others but it was fun!!

Kids had fun playing on the playground

and with the games we brought,After a great lunch that Tom cooked,

A great game of volley ball was played. We then had birthday cake and gifts. Great Grandma Mary got Breein a princess barbie and a dress for her to match in a beautiful bag. Breein wanted to put on her new dress up clothes so bad that she dragged her bag of gifts around the rest of the afternoon announcing she was ready to go!!Thanks to everyone for coming and for the great time we had.
WE LOVE OUR FAMILY!!!!!
